This week’s song is by Cary Ann Hearst, half of a band called Shovels and Rope who we first encountered about ten years ago. The band is a husband and wife thing, but this song is from her 2011 album entitled Lions and Lambs.
It has a classic ‘boom chika boom’ beat and has wonderful harmonies, and even has a ‘shoop, shoop’ section. But even better than that, it morphs into a classic Specter-esque finale. What more could one ask for?!
This is an apt choice considering what Parliament is debating today.
