Iona’s enforced layoff….

A quick update on Iona’s M.O.T.: Having delivered Iona to the van centre at 8:00 AM, we received a call at about 4:30 PM saying that the van failed the test due to a cracked rear passenger coil suspension spring! This damage occurred, & I do not doubt it, due to the state of the roads in the U.K. these days! The potholes are ubiquitous, especially in the larger towns & cities, & we did hit several on our last outing. Then, to make matters worse, we were told that the replacement is on back order & it could be a couple of weeks before one is available! Hay ho.
However, the additional problem we have is that we no longer have any other vehicle, so this enforced layoff will impact our lives generally! Therefore, we cannot take more photos and post them until the replacement spring arrives and we return to the road, whenever that will be!
